| Enough laziness through Featured Question fillers. It's time for a real update.
I've been slowly building my wardrobe on a strict diet of Ross Dress For Less, thrift stores, and the clearance racks of Old Navy. This, so far, has cost me about a good $60 or $70, but I've found lots of lifeless clothes that I still have some hope for.
Right now, I'm working on an 80's era lace and polyester monstrosity that a local thrift store in Lindale had the nerve to call a dress. It looks like this dress had a high neck and very long sleeves, because there's jagged edges on the hem of the sleeves, and it was blindstitched in baby blue thread. They also cut a two-inch gash down the center of the neckline, and did more wonderful stitching. I would post the actual images here, but Monsieur Xanga has limited my monthly uploads, so the best I can do is upload them on Photobucket and link them here.
This is the skirt part. Nothing really wrong with it, but the material is a bit bland.
This is the top part. I hate how it hangs.
This is to show you the puffy factor on the sleeves.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't think to take pictures of the awful stitching, but this is where they cut off the long sleeves.
This is to show the way the top part and skirt are joined. Disastrous.
As soon as I have saved this piece of work, I'll post the results.

| Well, it depends on the view. My dad bought me a 5-speed bike for Christmas when I was 9 years old, took me outside, set me on it, and told me to pedal. I had no training wheels, no helmet, no protection whatsoever. I promptly crashed into my mother's overgrown and quite thorny rose bush. After that, I was much too afraid to ever set foot on it again, save for a few practice trials when I was bored. A few months later, my dad was teaching my sister how to ride her bike. I guess I had enough practicing, because I just hopped on my bike and was able to keep my balance and ride it down the street a few times. My dad wasn't much into coaching me along when it came to teaching me things like swimming and tying my shoes. He showed me once or twice, and from there, I pretty much learned on my own.
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too! | | |
